1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate, melted
1/2 cup light corn syrup
3/4 teaspoon warm water
1/2 tablespoon. orange extract

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and cover. Let it sit overnight to firm up. Roll into logs and cut in sections. Wrap in decorative foil and papers.

Orange extract is the secret ingredient in manufactured Tootsie Rolls, too! This recipe is from an old Food Network show called Sweet Dreams. I tried it, and they really do taste like Tootsie Rolls (only fresher than the kind you buy!) No doubt you could experiment with other flavor extracts, too -- raspberry, mint, strawberry, banana or white chocolate. Yum!
