2/3 cup butter flavored crisco shortening
3/4 firmly packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1/4 cup orange juice
1 Tbls orange rind
2 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1 package 12 oz mini M&M's
1/3 cup orange marmalade

Directions:
preheat oven to 350º
in a large bowl with electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy add egg, orange juice and rind, blending well, combine lour, powder, soda and salt, blend well into creamed mixture, by hand stir in pecans and M&M's. Reserve 1 cup of dough; spread remaining dough into ungreased 13X9 inch pan; spread marmalade evenly over top of dough to within 1/2 inch of edges, drop reserved dough by tspfuls randomly over marmalade, bake 25-30 minutes until golden brown; do not overbake; cool completely; drizzle with vanilla glaze
