1 c. crisco
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. soda
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sugar
1/3 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt.
Directions:
Directions:
cream crisco and sugar until fluffy. add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. add buttermilk, soda and baking owder and mix well. add flour a little at a time mixing well. add vanilla and salt and mix thourghly. drop by tablespoon on to ungreased cookie sheet and press with dampened fork. bake at 425º until done.
