20 whole cloves
9 bay leaves
9 garlic cloves; crushed
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 Tbls crushed red pepper flakes
1 1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup peach preserves
1 fully cooked ham (7-9#) ham

line an 11X17 inch roasting pan with foil
score the top and sides of ham in small crisscross pattern; stud ham with clove's; combine bay leaves, garlic, sugar, pepper flakes and vinegar in a a bowl, rub 2/3 of spice mix over ham and place in pan and cover and refrigerate overnight.
Heat oven to 325º bake ham 2 to 2 1/2 hours; after one hour cover loosely with foil to prevent over browning, bake until a meat thermometer registers 140º; combine preserves with remaining spice mix and brush onto ham; basting during the last 30 minutes of baking; let stand 15 minutes before carving
