1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup cooking oil
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oatmeal and soak for 1 hour. Cream both sugars & oil. With egg, add flour mixture to creamed mixture. Add oatmeal.

Bake 30 minutes @ 350º

ICING:
6 Tbs. butter, melted
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cream or evaporated milk
1 cup coconut
1/2 tsp. vanilla
nuts to taste
Mix all icing ingredients and spoon over warm cake. Brown lightly under a broiler.
