2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
1 Tbsp oleo (butter)
2 cups pecans
1 package dates

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, milk & oleo until it forms a soft ball in cold water. Add 1 package of dates and cool. When dates are soft, add 2 cups pecans. Stir and roll on wet wax paper. Form a roll and chill in refrigerator and then cut into slices.

This recipe is from Aunt Mitzi's 1959 St. Patrick's Mother's Club Cookbook in Corpus Christi. She gave me this cookbook when I went to take care of her a few years ago. This recipe is in this cookbook under Dottsie's name.
