Personal Notes:
It took my awhile to learn that my husband does NOT like cookies with oatmeal in them. As for me, I love oatmeal cookies, but this is our favorite "classic" chocolate chip cookie. This recipe comes from the recipe book, "365 Great Chocolate Desserts," given to me for my wedding. When we were first married, and didn't have a very well stocked pantry, I spent many Sundays looking through this book wishing I had the ingredients to bake something with chocolate. Now we keep our house stocked with chocolate at all times!
