Dough: 3 C flour; 1 C Shortening, 1 tsp salt, 1 C cold water

Filling:
1 1/2 C Coarse Beef
2 1/4 lbs potatoes (cut into small pieces)
1/2 lb rutabaga (cut into small pieces
1/2 lb chopped onions
1 T salt
Pepper to taste

Directions:

Mix dough together and roll out into 8" circle for each pastie. Put 1 1/2 C filling on half of dough and fold over and seal the edges. Make a slit into the top. Bake at 375º for 1 hour or until golden brown.
