3 small Yellow squash, peeled and cut into bite-size cubes
Onion, diced
3-4 slices bacon, chopped in 1" slices

Directions:

Boil water with salt; then add squash. Cook 8-10 minutes until tender.

Cook bacon until almost brown. Add the diced onion and continue to cook until onion is tender. Add squash. Heat, and cover until ready to serve.

Do a double batch - there were never leftovers in our house. You can add 1 tsp. sugar and 1/4 tsp. pepper for additional seasoning.
