1 stick butter, melted
1 cup bisquick or flour
1 t. salt
1/2 t pepper
1 1/2 t paprika
chicken breasts & wings (approx. 2 1/2 lbs)
(or your favorite chicken parts)

Preheat oven to 425º

Mix bisquick and seasonings in large plastic bag. Doing 3 or 4 pieces of chicken at a time, shake in bag to coat well.
Spread chicken on a large cookie sheet with sides. (at least 13 X 9 inches) At this point I sometimes add around the chicken, thin slices (french fry cut) of potatoes, either sweet or regular. Sprinkle a little salt and pepper over potatoes. Sprinkle a little extra bisquick mixture from bag over the chicken, and over potatoes if you are using those, too. Drizzle melted butter over all chicken pieces and potatoes.
Bake in oven for 50 minutes, or so, until desired golden brown and crispy.

This recipe is from my very own first cookbook that my mother bought for me at a book fair in the 5th grade at the Lincoln School. 'Betty Crocker's New Girls and Boys Cookbook.' It was originally printed in 1957. We loved it and had it often. I still make it to this day. I still have the cookbook and make many other recipes in it, too!
