3 cups plus 6 Tbsp flour
1 1/2 tsp soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup softened butter
1 cup plus 2 Tbsp sugar
1 cup plus 2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
3 cups chocolate chip cookies
1 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Divide dough into halves. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Wrap remaining dough on waxed paper. Chill 1 hour until firm. Divide dough into halves. Shape each half into 9" roll. Refrigerate up to 1 week or freeze up to 8 weeks. Cut each chilled roll into nine 1" slices. Cut each slice into quarters. Place on ungreased baking sheet. 375º for 8-10 minutes
