2 tsp. Active Dry Yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1/3 c. shortening
1/4 c. sugar or honey
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. hot milk (cool to lukewarm by adding 1/2 c. cold water
1 egg
4 c. sifted Bread Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve 2 tsp. of dry active yeast in 1/2 c. of warm water and set aside.
Combine 1/3 cup of shortening, 1/4 cup of sugar or honey, 1 teaspoon of salt with 3/4 cup of hot milk. Cool to luke warm by adding 1/2 cup of cold water. Add 1 egg and softened yeast. Mix in 4 cups of sifted bread flour. Cover in same bowl and let rise in warm place until doubled. Stir dough with greased spoon. Roll out on floured surface until approximately 1/2 inch thick. Cut out with small bowl into hamburger shapes and place on greased sheet. cover and let rise for approximately 1 to 2 hours. Bake at 375º until golden brown. Let cool and cut each hamburger in half making a top and bottom to the bun. Enjoy!
