1 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. mace
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. powdered cloves
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
3 T. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 c. corn flakes (dry, not crumbled)
3 c. rolled oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
2 c. milk chocolate or semisweet chocolate chips 1 c. pine nuts, peanuts or chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
In medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt & spices. Set aside.
In large bowl, cream butter and sugars until smooth. Add milk, vanilla and beaten eggs. Mix well. One at a time, stir in corn flakes, oats, dry ingredients, chocolate chips and nuts, just until each addition is incorporated.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes.

When I can find them, I use the Guittard extra large milk chocolate chips. I also skip the nuts.
