2 c. Domino's sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 to 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, salt, syrup, and milk in pan. Bring to a boil slowly. Cook until small amount forms a soft ball in cold water. About 325º on candy thermometer. Remove from heat, add peanut butter, and vanilla. DO NOT STIR. Cool to lukewarm, then beat just until creamy, losing gloss, and beginning to hold shape. Stir in nuts if desired pour in a buttered 8x8 pan to cool. Cut into squares and serve.
