Standard recipe of chicken soup
1 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
milk

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare soup.
Break 1 egg into measuring cup and add milk until 1/2 cup mark. Beat egg and stir liquid slowly into dry ingredients. Batter will be quite stiff.
Dip spoon into boiling chicken gravy and dip out rounded spoonful of batter. Repeat until all dough is in the pot with chicken soup. Cover and cook 2-3 minutes. Gently turn over dumplings and cook 2-3 minutes more.

I've recently discovered that chicken soup tastes much richer without celery, but with lots of mushrooms and garlic.
