1 2-lb pkg frozen hash browns
1 small onion, chopped & sautéed in 3/4 stick oleo
1 can cream of celery soup
3/4 C milk
Salt & pepper to taste
2 C grated American cheese
Bacon bits and/or chopped pimentos (if desired)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients and pour into prepared casserole dish. Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 350º.
