6-10 apples
1 1/2 c. sugar (apple mixture)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 - 2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar (dough)
1 c. shortening
2 egg yolks (keep egg whites)
2/3 c. milk
1 c. cornflakes

Directions:
Directions:
Mix apples, 1 1/2 cups sugar, cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon salt and let stand. Mix 2 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons sugar, and 1 cup shortening. Add 2 egg yolks and cold milk. Roll out 1/2 dough mixture onto a cookie sheet. Then put cornflakes on top of dough. Pour apple mixture on top of flakes and add leftover dough. Beat egg whites together and brush on top of dough - sprinkle with sugar.
