1 large onion, thinly sliced,
3 T butter,
1 (4lb) frying chicken, cut up,
salt and pepper,
2 T paprika,
1 can 14 oz chicken broth,
1 pint sour cream,
1/4 c. milk,
2 T flour,
1/4 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder,

Directions:
In a large pot or pan, saute' onions in butter until slightly browned. Add cut-up chicken which has been seasoned generously with salt, pepper and the garlic powder. Brown on all sides, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle paprika to coat all sides of chicken. Add chicken broth to cover the chicken, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, covered for about an hour or until chicken is very done. Combine the sour cream, milk and flour until smooth. When the chicken is done, remove from broth and keep warm. Stir the sour cream mixture into the pot. This will tend to curdle but beat until smooth and creamy . Return the chicken to the gravy and serve with mostaccioli or any curled noodles.
