1 lb. backfin crab meat
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 gallon milk
1 quart heavy cream
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 stick butter
1 med. onion, chopped fine
1 cup flour
1 cup sherry

Directions:
Directions:
In a double boiler saute onion with butter. Add milk, cream, sugar, and garlic. Stir well. Cook until temperature reaches 160" or 30 to 45 minutes. In a small bowl mix flour and milk. Pour into pot and cook for 10 to 154 minutes, stirring continuously. Turn off heat and add sherry.
