Mix:
3/4 c shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 c molasses

Blend in:
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, brown sugar, egg, and molasses. Add dry ingredients. Cover and chill for 1 hour. Roll into 1 inch ball then roll in sugar covering ball of dough completely. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 min.
