1 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Colored sugar or frosting

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixing bowl, beat butter; gradually add sugar. Add eggs; mix well. Stir in sour cream, vanilla, flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Blend thoroughly. Wrap dough in plastic wrap. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, about 5 hours.

Heat oven to 350º. On lightly floured cloth-covered surface, roll out 1/3 of dough at a time. Refrigerate remaining dough. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Sprinkle with colored sugar. Bake 8 - 10 minutes.
