4 egg yolks
1 whole egg
4 T sugar
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg yolks until creamy. Add whole egg and beat again adding sugar and salt. Add enough flour to make a sticky dough ( A T of rich cream may be added here). Roll out very thin; cut into diamond shapes. Make a slit into the center of each. Twist inside out.
Fry in hot oil until brown, turning immediately after being place in oil. Do not over fry. Drain on paper towels.
Dust with powdered sugar.
