2 pkg dry or compressed yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup water
1/2 cup butter
8 cups flour
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 T salt
2 eggs beaten
Grated rind of lemon or orange

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in in 1/4 cup yeast in 1/4 cup warm watter. Heat milk, 1 c water, butter, stir until butter is melted. Cool to lukewarm. In large bowl add flour sugar and salt. Combine yeast, lukewarm milk mixture, eggs, grated rind. Add to dry ingredients. Mix. Cover bowl. Let dough rise in warm place until double in bulk, about 2 to 4 hours.
