1 head of shredded cabbage
1/2 c.chopped celery
2 shredded carrots
1/2 c. chopped green pepper

1/2 tsp.. salt
2 c. sugar
1/2 T. mustard seed
1 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
1/2 T. celery seed

Directions:
Directions:
Put first four ingredients in a large bowl.
Put next six ingredients in a pot and heat to boiling.
Let cool five minutes then pour over cabbage and other ingredients. Refrigerate . Keeps several days.
This recipe is the closest I have ever found to my mother's.
