1 gallon sweet cider
2 1/2 qts of peeled and sliced apples
2 cups of sugar
1/4 tsp whole allspice
1 stick of cinnamon
3 to 4 whole cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Reduce cider to 2 quarts by boiling in an open pot, add apples. Cook rapidly until apples are soft, then cook slowly, constantly stirring, when it begins to thicken add sugar and spices. Cook, stirring constantly until smooth and thick.
