2 cups sugar
2 cups corn syrup
1/2 cup butter
2 cups milk
few grains of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium size pot, combine all of the ingredients. Monitor the heat of the mixture with a candy thermometer while stirring. When the thermometer reaches 250 degrees F (120 degrees C) remove the pot from the heat.

Transfer mixture to the prepared pan and let the mixture cook completely. When cooled cut the caramel into small squares and wrap for storage.
