frozen strawberries (or any frozen fruit in combination)
whole or skim milk to cover fruit
sugar, honey or sugar substitute to taste

Place desired amount of fruit in a blender. Pour skim milk over fruit until it is covered. Add sugar, honey, or sugar substitute. Blend to desired consistency. Add a little more milk or use all skim milk, if you like your shakes thinner and/or low-fat.

This is an easy and healthy alternative to an ice cream shake. We made them all the time when our kids were little. Throw in a banana and/ or maybe some chocolate syrup and you won't miss the ice cream! Try adding sparkling water instead of the milk for a quick sorbet.
