COOKIES:
1 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp soda
1 T. milk
2 1/2 c. flour

FROSTING:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla or lemon juice
1 box powdered sugar

Directions:
For cookies, mix all together and roll into small balls. Flatten with bottom of glass. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes. Let cool before frosting.
For frosting, mix all ingredients together and beat until smooth. Frost cool cookies.
