COOKIES:
2 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 c. cooked mashed carrots

FROSTING: (enough for double batch of cookies)
3 c. powdered sugar
Grated rind of 1 orange
4 T. orange juice
3 tsp melted margarine or butter

Directions:
Directions:
For cookies, mix flour, baking powder and salt and set aside. In mixing bowl, cream Crisco and sugar. Gradually add vanilla and carrots. Add dry ingredients and beat well. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º about 20-25 minutes. Ice while warm. For frosting, beat all ingredients until smooth.
