Put in mixing bowl:
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour

Bring to a boil:
1 stick butter
1 cup water
1/2 cup shortening
4 tablespoons cocoa

Add boiled mixture to flour and sugar
then add:
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs, beaten
Beat and pour in 16 x 10 1/2 cookie sheet with sides.
Bake 20 minutes at 350º

Soon as removed from oven, spread the following over cake:
1 stick butter
4 tablespoons cocoa
6 tablespoon milk
1 pound powdered sugar
1 cup nuts.
