1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. almond flavoring 1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. flour

GLAZE (optional):
Heat Red Jam, and stir in a few drops of Almond Flavoring.
Directions:

Cream together the sugars, butter, and shortening. Add flavoring, egg, soda, salt, and flour. Mix well. Roll 1" balls into sugar. Bake at 325º for 7 to 12 minutes. Top with Hershey kisses right out of the oven. If using glaze, spoon onto Hershey Kiss while warm.
