2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. flour
1 stick butter 1/2 c. oil 1/2 c. cocoa
1/4 c. water 2 eggs 1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk 2 tsp. vanilla 1 bag mini marshmallows

ICING:
1 stick butter, softened 3 tbsp. cocoa 6 tbsp. milk
1 lb. confectioners' sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. nuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, salt, and flour in a large bowl. Bring the butter, oil, cocoa, water to a boil in a saucepan. Add to the flour mixture. Beat together the eggs, baking soda, buttermilk, and vanilla. Add to the chocolate mixture, mix well, and pour into a greased 9x13-inch pan. Bake at 350º for 25 minutes or till toothpick inserted comes out clean. While the cake is baking, make the icing by heating butter, cocoa, and milk over low heat. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and stir in confectioners' sugar. Mix in vanilla and nuts. Take the cake from the oven and pour marshmallows over the top of cake and then pour warm icing over the marshmallows. Cool the cake before serving.

I have been making this recipe since I was 9 yrs old. It was requested at every Fireside while I was in Young Women. It even won top prize at a YM/YW Bake Off.
