4 eggs
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup nuts

Frosting:
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup water
Directions:
Directions:
Cream egg and sugars; add flour with spices and nuts. Spread in greased pan bake 400º F for 20 minutes. Mix powdered sugar and water and Immediately spread frosting on top. Cool and cut into squares.

This recipe was found in Grandma Clara Ready's handwriting it must have been a German cookie which was very easy to make.
