1 portion of fresh cream to 2 portions of granulated sugar. (Grandma sometimes used canned milk)

Cook and stir constantly over low heat until it boils. Continue stirring and cook about 2 to (10) minutes until rolling boil is contained.

Spoon on cake while hot.
