6 fresh plum or roma tomatoes (chopped)
2 cloves of garlic (pressed)
3 green onions, sliced
2 Tbsp. fresh basil
3 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
Generous amounts of freshly ground pepper and sea salt

For added "kick", add hot pepper or jalapeņos.

Mix ingredients together and refrigerate. Bruschetta is like chili: the longer it sits, the better it tastes because the flavors of each ingredient are enhanced by the other ingredients.

Pending personal preference, the amount of garlic and basil can be increased or decreased. (I am usually inclined to add more than what the recipe calls...)

I like to serve the bruschetta on a lightly buttered and baked (sour dough is best).
