8 oz. pkg. linguine or thin spaghetti
4 T. margarine
1 small onion, chopped
1 T. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
10 oz. pkg. frozen peas
4 oz. pkg. sliced, cooked ham, cut into thin strips
1 to 2 c. shredded swiss cheese.

Directions:
1) In saucepan, prepare linguine as label directs. Drain. Return to saucepan and keep warm.
2) In saucepan over medium heat, cook onion until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in flour, salt and pepper until blended; cook ONE minute. Gradually stir in milk; cook, stirring constantly until slightly thickened and smooth.
3) Stir in frozen peas. Heat to boiling. Turn heat to low and cook mixture 2 - 3 minutes until peas are tender. Add ham and heat through. Remove saucepan from heat; stir in swiss cheese until melted.
4) Gently toss linguine with sauce and serve immediately.
