4 Minute/Cube Steaks
2 T Shortening
1/4 c Onion, chopped
1 Beef Bouillon Cube
1 C Hot Water
1 (16 oz) can Diced Tomatoes
1 Green Pepper, sliced
3/4 tsp Garlic Salt
1 tsp Salt
Dash of Pepper
1/4 c Cold Water
2 T Soy Sauce
2 T Corn Starch

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the meat in hot shortening. Add onion and garlic salt during the last few minutes of browning and season with salt and pepper. Dissolve bouillon cube in hot water and add to meat. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Add tomatoes and peppers and cook 10 more minutes. Combine the cornstarch, cold water, and soy sauce. Stir into meat and bring to boil. Cook and stir 5 minutes, or until sauce thickens. Serve with rice, pasta, or potatoes.

I make this recipe in a slow cooker, cooking on low for 6-8 hours. Do not add the cornstarch, cold water and soy sauce until the last 30-60 minutes of cooking.
