1 lb asparagus, cut 1 inch thick
1/2 lb mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup dried tomatoes, rehydrated
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh basil chopped
1 cup white wine (or chicken broth)
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp pine nuts
4oz fresh paremsan, grated
8 oz pasta (angel hair or fettucine)

Place dehydrated tomatoes in 1/2 cup hot water to rehydrate; let stand 10 mins. While pasta is cooking saute aparagus, mushrooms and garlic in a little olive oil until just softened. Add drained tomatoes, parsley, basil, chicken broth or wine. Simmer over low heat to reduce liquid by half. Add butter and pine nuts. Stir until sauce thickens. Drain pasta and toss with sauce mixture. Seve on large platter garnished with fresh parmesan cheese.

May use fresh roma tomatoes instead of dehydrated but decrease broth to 1/2 cup. Note this sauce is very light so toss thoroughly to coat pasta well.
