4 cups crabapple juice
4 cups white sugar
1 pkg grape Kool Aid or Freshie (try 2 pkgs if you like a stronger grape flavour)

Directions:

Crabapple Jelly;
Heat juice. When boiling, add sugar 1 cup at a time. Boil approximately 7 minutes. Skim off foam. Bottle and seal.

Grape Jelly:
Add Kool Aid to crabapple juice when juice is hot, then proceed the same as for Crabapple Jelly.

This recipe came about one year when we lived on the farm. I had made all the Crabapple Jelly I wanted but still had lots of juice. As Grape Jelly is one of my favourites, I decided to try adding the Grape Kool Aid. It worked great and I still make it to this day.
