1 1/2 cup flour
2 cups sugar
10 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1 cup shortening or (1 stick oleo and 1/2 cup shortening)
4 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup nuts, chopped (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine ingredients: stir until smooth. (batter will be stiff) Spread dough in a greased 9x13 in pan. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.

Fudge Frosting:
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 tbsp. butter
Combine all ingredients in saucepan; bring to a rolling boil. Stir constantly and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from heat; beat until mixture just starts to thicken. Pour over brownies while still warm.
