1 lb. ground beef
1 cup onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 cups water
1 13 3/4 ounce can beef broth
1 29 ounce can tomato sauce
2 T. chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp. chili powder (optional)
1/4 tsp. dried basil leaves
1/4 tsp. dried oregano leaves
4 cups uncooked elbow macaroni

Directions:
Directions:
In a 4-quart saucepan, brown ground beef until almost done, drain off excess fat. Add onion and garlic, and cook until onion is tender but not brown. Stir in water, beef broth, tomato sauce, and seasonings. Heat to a boil. Add uncooked macaroni and return to a boil. Cover and cook, stirring frequently, until macaroni is tender. Salt and pepper to taste.
