1/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1 cup berries
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup fruit juice

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar well.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to shortening sugar mixture. Add milk and beat until smooth.
Pour in greased baking dish and top with 1 cup berries, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1 cup fruit juice.

Bake 375º F 45-50 min.
