Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup tequila - Sauza Gold or better
1/2 cup Grand Marnier
2 cups Jose Cuervo sweet & sour or margarita mix
1 lime
rimming salt (optional)
lots of ice

If you want to make strawberry margaritas, you'll need two containers of strawberries. Clean & cut off tops. Put the strawberries in before the mix, adjust mix to 1 cup. Use lots of ice.

Directions:
Directions:
The recipe makes 4 margaritas per batch. I use low ball glasses.

Add tequila, Grand Marnier, sweet & sour, and juice of 1/2 of the lime, no seeds, please. Add ice to make the 4 or 5 inch marker on your blender. The more ice, the icier the margarita

Quarter the other 1/2 of the lime. Use a quarter of a lime for each glass, rim the top of each glass. Pour rimming salt into a saucer & shape the salt about the same size as the glass. Press rim into the salt lightly. Place a couple piece of ice in each glass, squeeze the quartered lime over the ice & toss into the glass. Pour blended margaritas into the glasses & serve. On a hot summer night, I put the glasses into the freezer about an hour before making the margaritas.

Personal Notes:
I purchased my Osterizer Imperial blender 33 years ago. It's harvest gold and has 12 speeds with pulse matic action. I purchased the blender because the mix container is plastic and figured it wouldn't break. The blender is famous for all it's travel. It's been to Canada, Mexico, both sides of the ocean, to the Caribbean, Hawaii, Las Vegas, down the Mississippi and up North to many a cabin. The blender is always welcome & the ingredients are usually waiting for the blender to be unpacked! The blender has also chopped a couple wooden spoons as my husband was impatient when making malts. I wonder how much longer the blender will last & what other countries it will make it to?
