Directions:
Cream shortening with brown sugar, add molasses. Add 1 1/4 c. flour, soda, salt, spices. Add vinegar and the rest of the flour, alternating with the buttermilk. Chill. Assemble cousins and grandchildren. Roll dough 1/4 inch thick, choose from cookie cutter assortment. Place dough which hasn't been snitched on ungreased cookie sheet and decorate with raisins, chocolate chips, red hots, and sprinkles. Adults finish decorating trays while children run around. Bake 350 º for 10-15 minutes. Eat while hot and enjoy the memories!
