use coarse blade of grinder to grind 4 cups each of: onions, green tomatoes, cabbage, sweet pepper (1/2 red if possible), 6 pods hot pepper if desired
mix with a 1/2 cup salt, cover and keep overnight in a cool place
day 2
drain day 1 mixture and rinse through colander
combine 1 tbsp celery seed
1 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1 tbsp mustard seed, 4 cups vinegar, 6 cups sugar, 2 cups water and bring to a boil. add vegetables and simmer 3 minutes, hot but not boiling.
seal in jars
