12 cups flour
2 tsp sugar
3 tsp salt
1/2 cup lard melted
3 cups water (quite warm)
3 tsp yeast

Directions:
Directions:
Put yeast and 2 tsp. sugar in water (quite warm). Stir to dissolve. Make a well in flour and add all the ingredients, You will need a little more warm water- maybe 1 ½ cups. Mix well and work and knead real good, then let rest for 5-10 min. Knead and work again. Grease bowl and let dough rise. work down and let rise again. Put in pans, let rise and bake 35-40 minutes at 350 degree oven.

One of my favorite memories of Grandma Regina is her homemade bread. Her house always had that wonderful smell of bread baking and it was a treat like no other to eat her homemade bread.
