1 1/2 c. egg whites (11eggs) 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. flour (sifted 4 times) 1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. vanilla (or almond)
Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar till stiff. While beating, add sugar slowly till well blended in. Add vanilla. Fold in flour a little at a time- do NOT beat. Pour in ungreased large tube pan and bake in 300* oven for o1 hour. Serve dusted with powdered sugar,iced or plain as desired.
