Personal Notes:
Usually for an Asian meal there is a clear soup served. This is so easy and always a hit. The recipe is for 1 serving to make additional bowls simply multiply by the number of people. Miso is one of the fermented foods that has terrific digestive properties, however the key to the benefits of Miso is to not overcook and kill off the good enzymes. Hence addition boiling water to the paste and stirring is the preferred methodology. If you want the onions more cooked, rather than raw, simply pre-saute them for a few minutes to translucent stage and then add hot to the broth base.
