2 eggs slightly beaten
1 can (16 oz.) pumpkin
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 can (12 oz.) evaporated milk
1 9-inch unbaked pie shell

Preheat oven to 425º F. Combine filling ingredients in order given. Pour into pie shell. Bake 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350º F. Bake an additional 45 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool. Cover. If desired, serve with whipped topping.
