1 pkg. (18.25 oz.) moist butter recipe chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine or butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Tbsps water
1 egg
1 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Grease rectangular pan, 9 x 13-inches.
3. Mix cake mix (dry), margarine, brown sugar, water and egg in large bowl, using spoon.
4. Stir in nuts.
5. Press firmly in pan.
6. Bake 32 to 36 minutes or until top forms a crust that is dry to the touch.
7. Cool completely. Cut into 2 x 1-1/2-inch bars.

Variations. Also add a cup of chocolate chips to the top just before baking.
Can also use yellow cake mix, reduce butter to 1/4 cup and add 1/2 cup peanut butter, sprinkel with peanut butter chips and chocolate ships, chopped peanuts or pecans. Substitute bourbon for the water. Great flavor!
